When it comes to enhancing LGBT+ inclusion and care, every organization is at a different stage of readiness. More accurately, most ministries are in multiple stages of readiness. One segment of leaders may be ahead of others. Some leaders may be further along than other leaders even within the same ministry area. Natural turnover of staff or elders can be another reason why an organization is in multiple stages.

These practical realities mean that team training is always helpful for raising the missional skill set of an entire organization. Even when you already have experts, Posture Shift training can mobilize a team to have greater unity and uniformity in how LGBT+ people are welcomed, engaged, and included.

The objective is to have “even readiness” across your leadership team so that unity is maintained as real-life scenarios become more complex. Once this is established as a missional ethic, you will have greater success at building a team of experts across your entire organization to ensure that missional skills continuously improve.

Stage 1

We must establish a biblical basis and “buy-in” among our leaders before we can proceed with any inclusion efforts or leadership training.

Posture Shift Brief is a 2-hour seminar designed for executives and staff to assess our missional curriculum. (in-person, virtual)

Stage 2

We have developed our biblical basis and possess strong “buy- in” among leadership. We are ready to offer comprehensive training for leaders.

Posture Shift Intensive is a 2-day course offering our team’s most comprehensive team training experience. (in-person)

Stage 3

We are fully trained and preparing our stakeholders for visible inclusion that will likely result from our missional efforts. We want to do it well.

Posture Shift for Congregations is a
modified 2-hour Posture Shift Brief designed to equip your entire stakeholder body. (in-person, virtual)

Stage 4

We’re seeing LGBT+ inclusion and must optimize our response to a range of inclusion scenarios while also retaining our biblical beliefs.

Posture Shift Consulting is an opportunity to privately process implementation challenges and complex scenarios. (in-person, virtual)
