POSTURE SHIFT TRAIN50
Part 4: Case Studies
1 Videos | 2 hrs
Many Christians imagine that the Gospel can only be compromised by a loss of biblical truth. In truth, the Gospel can also be compromised by a loss of biblical love. To love is to live God’s truth. To fail to love is to materially misrepresent God to those whom he desires to reach.
In this section, we establish for attendees the biblical basis for implementing a Posture Shift in our ministry context.
Missionaries are not shocked by people. They seek to listen and learn, not just teach and tell. Over long periods, they earn trust in order to share Christ. They understand that the ultimate missional goal is proximity of the Gospel to people, who exist both as individuals and as members of people groups.
In this section, we examine the LGBT+ Community as an under-reached people group. We will do what missionaries do across the world. We will become educated on LGBT+ people through 8 different perspectives (or lenses) using a missional framework.
We now have critical training on the LGBT+ Community’s history, culture and language. We now have experienced a posture shift as we came face-to-face with real people who have experienced real trauma and life vulnerability. Radical love and compassion are fully flowing in our hearts. Simultaneously, it is important to note that our theological position has not shifted.
In this section, we look at a 10-Step Best Practice Action Plan. Even though this should have been done decades ago, and it may feel grievous to
consider how late we are, it is wise to start in the church.
Lead Them Home maintains a collection of challenging case studies. We share this information with ministry teams who privately contract our training and consulting services. Each ministry team pre-selects (a) their top 2 case studies for our 4-6-hour Posture Shift; or (b) their top 6 case studies
for our 2-day Posture Shift Intensives Course. We cannot cover all case studies.
In this section, watch a few examples of case studies in action during the training.
