\u201cHoney, it\u2019s okay. You\u2019re not gay. You\u2019re just sorting through a lot of pre-teen thoughts and feelings.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Dismissal was my response in that moment. My husband and I would take steps to limit the phone usage, hoping this would help. It did for a season, but another confession would come a couple years later.<\/span><\/p>\n
