Around the world, LGBT+ young people are being disowned, displaced, and left with nowhere safe to go. Posture Shift’s Justice Initiatives Fund exists to rescue them and give them a future. We extend Christ’s presence and protection when LGBT+ young people are vulnerable to harm.
When Coming Out Means Losing Everything
In many parts of the world, being LGBT+ doesn’t just mean facing rejection — it can mean losing your home, your family, your safety, and your future in a single day. As tolerance for LGBT+ individuals declines in persecuting nations, more young people are being disowned and left homeless, with no support system and no way forward.
This isn’t a distant statistic. Many of them are still teenagers who suddenly are on their own, without family, shelter, income, protections or stability.
Posture Shift believes every person deserves to be loved, safe, and given the chance to build a future. That’s why we created the Justice Initiatives Fund.

After her family found out she was gay, her father issued an honor-killing order against her! Nadia found Posture Shift through an online search, and we had her in a safe Christian Hostel within hours. (Weeks later she was baptized in Jesus Christ) "This is a miracle. I have never had anyone protect me like this — it must be my God."
This Is Mission, Not Just Mercy
Posture Shift has spent over 20 years training pastors, churches, and families on LGBT+ inclusion and care. The Justice Initiatives Fund is that same mission, extended to the young people who need it most urgently — those who have already lost their home and community because of who they are.
We believe the Church should be the safest place in the world for LGBT+ people to encounter Jesus. For some, that starts with something as basic as a roof over their head.

After he told his family he was gay, his brother told the village and they attacked him. He was forced to flee from home out of a fear that he would be killed. "I forgive my family. I love and miss them so much."

- Spiritual growth — Optional access to Christ-centered spiritual care and resources

This is rescue and restoration. We don’t just meet the immediate crisis — we walk alongside these young people until they can stand on their own.
